Areas I Cover: Baldock

Offering warm, confidential, and individualised therapy in the heart of Baldock. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, navigating menopause, or struggling with professional burnout, I provide a safe space to help you feel heard, understood, and supported.

A Safe Space Close to Home

Hello, I’m Louise. Starting therapy is a significant step, and finding the right fit locally makes all the difference. Based at Amber Health on Baldock High Street, just a short walk from the historic Church of St Mary, I offer a quiet and welcoming environment where you can speak openly without fear of judgement.

As a qualified integrative therapist, I combine established therapeutic approaches to suit your specific needs. Together, we can work through difficult feelings, rebuild balance, and help you regain clarity in your daily life.

From Law to Listening: My Background

My path to becoming a therapist began in a very different setting. Before retraining, I worked as a solicitor specialising in refugee law. In that environment, I saw firsthand the heavy emotional toll of uncertainty, stress, and profound life transitions.

That experience, alongside my volunteer work with Cruse Bereavement, confirmed my passion for supporting people through their hardest moments. Today, I bring that same analytical clarity together with deep empathy to help you process pressure, overcome challenges, and move forward with confidence.

Working Together for Lasting Change

Therapy is a collaborative process. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you, offering practical guidance tailored to your goals. In our sessions, we can work together to:

  • Understand and break unhelpful thought patterns and habits.
  • Develop practical strategies to manage anxiety, stress, and low mood.
  • Navigate difficult personal transitions or heavy career demands.
  • Build resilience, self-esteem, and a clearer sense of direction.

Specialist Support Areas

Every person’s journey is distinct, and while integrative counselling covers a wide range of emotional challenges, certain life experiences benefit from dedicated, targeted support. Whether you visit my practice in Baldock or prefer online sessions, I bring both specialist training and genuine lived understanding to these key areas of my work.

Explore the sections below to learn more about how I can support you with your specific circumstances:

A dedicated space to explore whatever is making life feel difficult right now. Whether you are dealing with persistent anxiety, stress, low mood, grief, or relationship challenges, we work at your pace using short-term or ongoing support to help you reconnect with yourself.

Perimenopause and menopause can bring complex emotional shifts, anxiety, and loss of confidence alongside physical changes. Holding specialist Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) training from the British Menopause Society, I help you process these changes, manage symptoms, and restore emotional balance.

Drawing on my own background as a qualified solicitor, I understand the relentless demands, perfectionism, and risk of burnout in high-pressure careers. I offer a discreet, informed space to help legal and corporate professionals set healthy boundaries, reduce stress, and protect their well-being.
